Benton Harbor High School students to lead peace walk Thursday
CASS COUNTY, Mich – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal single-vehicle crash Friday at approximately 8:07 p.m.
According to reports, a 60-year-old man was driving westbound near Bell Street and Ironwood Drive in Milton Township when he veered off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver was transported by SMCAS ambulance to Niles Lakeland Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. He was later transferred to Memorial Hospital in South Bend, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities said the driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
