Fans battled the weather for Saturday night's game

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- To say it was cold at Notre Dame's game Saturday night would be an understatement.

Fans were treated with wind and snow flurries.

But that didn't stop them from bundling up and heading to Notre Dame Stadium.

This is the chilliest home game of the year so far for the Irish.

We asked an Irish fan who made the ten-hour drive from Nebraska how he felt about the temps.

"Preferably it would be 65 and sunny but this is football weather and it's Nebraska football weather too," John Peery said.

Saturday's game time temperature of 26 degrees makes it the coldest Notre Dame home game since November 2, 1991 when the Irish shutout Navy 38-0.
