NOW: Family, friends searching for closure more than a year after Jason Goad’s disappearance

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- It's been a little over a year since 40-year-old Jason Goad of Plymouth disappeared, and loved ones are still left with more questions than answers.

Ex fiancé and close friend of Goad, Kelsie McCord-Benedict, has been at the forefront of trying to find those answers, from gathering different friends and family for search parties to talking with the Plymouth Police Department.

But, as of right now, no new leads are available.

“Officially since September 22, 2025, so about a year,” McCord-Benedict said. “We’re kind of stuck in limbo because we don’t know what all transpired.”

On Saturday, McCord Benedict and other loved ones of Goad’s, gathered at River Square Park for a search party.

The search, just one of many since Goad’s disappearance.

For one of those searchers, Jenna Williams, who says Goad was a father-like figure to her – it still doesn’t make sense.

“You know, we've known him our entire lives and he has never, that I have known him, gone more than like three months without contacting someone that he knows or loves,” Williams said. “We just want to know where he is.”

Benedict-McCord says they’ve been working closely with the Plymouth Police Department and Detective Derek Workman.

In speaking with Workman, Benedict-McCord says that any new information, even if it’s small, will be helpful.

“Please don’t give up on my friend,” Benedict-McCord said. “Please don’t give up on the person we love. He deserves to be brought home.”

If you happen to have any information regarding the disappearance of Jason Goad, the Plymouth Police Department is asking you to call them at 574–936–2126.
