SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Thursday the Notre Dame hockey team hosted 'Paint the Ice,' an annual event to express gratitude to fans for their support throughout the hockey season.
Notre Dame hockey player Carter Slaggert enjoyed the event and told us why "Yeah, the turnout was great. We see a lot of our season ticket holders, as well as other fans and youth hockey teams and in the area. We're greatly appreciative of all their support throughout the season and beyond, and it was a fantastic turnout, and we're excited to see them..."
Every year fans and families are invited to paint all over the ice rink at Compton Family Ice Arena. Most of the paintings this year were about how much they love Notre Dame and the Notre Dame Hockey team. The turnout was significant, with season ticket holders, other fans, and youth hockey teams in attendance, indicating a strong bond between the team and its supporters.
