SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Venues Parks & Arts’ annual "Fall Family Fun Fair," now known as "Familia Fun Fest," will take place Oct. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rum Village Park.

The festival is part of South Bend's celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and Dia de Los Muertos and aims to bring the community together.

The day will consist of family-friendly fall activities, cultural experiences, live entertainment, and seasonal fun for all ages.

“We at VPA feel it’s important to be able to provide free, family-oriented opportunities that are geared to all parts of our community,” says Amy Roush, Director of Experiences & Events. “Based on the community around Rum Village Park, this theme seems more inviting.”

Festival activities will include pumpkin painting, community booths, interactive performances on Boomer’s stage, an Ofrenda ceremony, and a pie-eating contest.

Rum Village Park is located at 2626 S. Gertrude St. in South Bend.
