Elkhart Sheriff's Department cracks down of crime

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's department is cracking down on crime but it needs your help.

Monday, the department unveiled details on its plans to reduce crime.

One of their steps includes meeting with residents in their townships.

They  hope to solve more crimes by giving citizens the opportunity to access and provide information to an officer.

The 10 community meetings with police start Monday night. The first one is at York Elementary school in Bristol at 6:30.
