ELKHART, Ind. - The famed Elkhart River Queen's relaunch has officially been postponed until Tuesday morning after issues with a crane.
Officials state that they will attempt to relaunch on Tuesday morning at 11:30 a.m.
The River Queen, which was built in 1948, has been removed from the water a few times for repairs, most recently in November of 2022.
During its launch on June 19, crews discovered a leak in the boat’s port engine.
After taking another week to fix the leak and touch up the paint, the Queen is finally ready to be introduced back into the community.
