Elkhart Police investigating shooting at gas station

ELKHART, Ind. -- Elkhart Police are investigating the shooting of a man who was involved in a domestic incident at a gas station Thursday morning.

Elkhart Police were called to the BP on Nappanee Street in connection with a domestic situation.

The victim was at the gas station when police arrived and spoke with officers. She was taken to the hospital for complaints of pain, reports said.

The suspect, a 22-year-old man, had left before police arrived. He was located near the 300 block of Crawford Street.

Police said he had a gunshot wound to his arm from a man who intervened at the gas station.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injury.

No arrests have been made.
