ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart County honoring those who lost their lives in the line of duty today.
This year’s annual Peace Officer Memorial Ceremony was held at Kardzhali Park.
The ceremony aimed to give both officers still on the force, as well as the community, a chance to honor those who put their lives on the line to protect citizens.
The mayor of Elkhart County officially declared May 15 as Peace Officer Day.
