Elkhart County Sheriff gifts K9 unit to Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. - The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office announce via Facebook on May 31, 2024, Elkhart County Sheriff Jeff Siegel gifted the department a K9 unit named Creed.

Creed is a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois, now assigned to Deputy Elizabeth Johnson.

Authorities say Creed and Johnson have already completed training and are now on patrol.

"We are just getting started together and we have only had a small number of deployments recently," Johnson said. "We have not had any apprehensions at this point as we just recently moved to night shift. We have had a couple of narcotic finds though, but mostly personal use amounts. We are still learning each other as a team and hope to really see more work as summertime ramps up."
