BRISTOL, Ind. -- Elkhart County Parks is hosting a hiking tour of Cobus Creek County Park.

The hike will be on Aug. 31, at 6 p.m.

Attendees will be able to explore the park with a museum curator and naturalist to learn about the history of the site, its ecosystems, and the ways people have impacted the health of its environment.

“Cobus Creek has a rich history, and we’re excited to bring that out,” said Jenifer Blouin Policelli, Curator of Education at Elkhart County Historical Museum.

Policelli continues to say, "whether we’re discussing Indigenous settlement 12,000 years ago, dredging efforts around the turn of the 20^th century, or recent projects to restore wildlife and habitat, there’s something to interest everyone.”

The one-mile-long hike will cost $3 per person, and registration is limited to the first 20 who sign up.
