Elkhart County Historical Museum screening of 'The American Revolution'

Elkhart County Historical Society

BRISTOL, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Historical Society is partnering with WNIT, WVPE, and Indiana Humanities to host an evening of learning about the Revolutionary War era.

The program takes place on April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Elkhart County Historical Museum in Bristol. Admission is free and registration is not required; light refreshments will be provided. The event will include screening crated segments from the recent documentary The American Revolution all centering on the spirit of service.

Following the film, local experts in history and military service will discuss historical and contemporary implications of the ideas presented in the documentary. Panelists include Jared Burkholder of Grace College, Mike Murrell of WVPE, and Sarah Noonan of St. Mary’s College and Indiana Humanities.

“This event will be an excellent opportunity for us to reflect on the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States,” said Curator of Education Jenifer Blouin Policelli. “This is a big anniversary year! We’re so happy to put on programs that allow us to talk about some of the revolutionary ideals at the foundation of our country – like service.”
