Man transported to hospital after crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A man who was driving a 2011 GMC Sierra was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with complaints of pain to his neck, arm, and head, after a crash. 

He was going south on County Road 5, near Treva Street, when he went off the side of the roadway, struck a utility pole and a tree, and landed on its roof. 

He was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
