Delphi Murders Trial: The day after the verdict
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind -- It's your voice, your vote with Indiana's primary election Tuesday.
Among 190,000 registered voters in St. Joseph County, roughly four thousand voted early.
Early voting has ended, and County Clerk Amy Rolfes says they are fully staffed for tomorrow's primary election, with 42 voting centers throughout the county.
Rolfes adds they are prepared for thousands of voters to come out on Tuesday.
While people cast their ballots, election workers are at vote centers ensuring a smooth civic process.
Joseph Mulligan, the Absentee Voting Clerk in St. Joseph County, says the first few weeks of early voting were slow, but there's been a recent surge in voter turnout in the past few days.
One early veteran voter, Linda Verteramo, was out here today exercising her civic duty.
“If you have a view of where your life, your children's life, your grandchildren’s life should be directed, if you don't put the right people in power by voting, your vision will not be seen,” said Verteramo.
If you didn't vote early, the polls are open tomorrow from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
St. Joseph County is still looking for poll workers for the November general election.
