Dwayne Clemons charged with multiple felonies following Amber Alert
Starke County Sherriff\'s Department UPDATE: In full, Clemons has been charged with:
- Aggravated Battery posing a substantial risk of death, a level three felony
- Criminal Confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, a level three felony
- Criminal Confinement resulting in serious bodily injury, a level three felony
- Criminal Confinement with moderate bodily injury, a level four felony
- Criminal Confinement where a vehicle is used, a level five felony
- Criminal Confinement, a level six felony
- Kidnapping with serious bodily injury, a level three felony
- Kidnapping with moderate bodily injury, a level four felony
- Domestic Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, a level five felony
- Domestic Battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16 years old, a level six felony
- Domestic Battery Resulting in Moderate Bodily Injury, a level six felony
ORIGINAL CONTENT: NORTH JUDSON, Ind.-- On Feb. 9, detectives with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department submitted a report to the Starke County Prosecutor’s office regarding the incident surrounding the Amber Alert that was issued on Friday, Feb. 6.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, the Starke County Prosecutor filed formal charges on 44-year-old Dwayne Clemons of North Judson, Indiana.
Clemons was charged with Aggravated Battery a level three felony, Criminal Confinement a level three felony, Kidnapping a level three felony, Domestic Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury a level five felony, in addition to several other felony counts.
A $250,000 case bond was issued by the Starke Circuit Court.
Clemons is being held at the Starke County Jail.
