Today has been a pleasant summer day, with highs in the 80s and low humidity. Through the afternoon and early evening, clouds will continue to build as showers pass to our south. Areas along and south of US-24 could see showers and storms, with brief periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.
Rain chances taper off overnight as clouds gradually clear. Lows will dip into the 60s. We could start our day tomorrow with patchy fog, especially for the areas that experience showers. Monday will be warm, with highs in the upper 80s and humidity remaining fairly comfortable.
By Tuesday and Wednesday, both temperatures and dew points increase, bringing back the chance for showers and storms. Temperatures trend closer to normal by the end of the week, with another round of precipitation possible early next week.
