Driver reports being flashed, shot at in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Police Department is investigating after a driver reported being flashed and shot at in Elkhart on Tuesday.

At 4:15 p.m., an officer went to the 2500 block of Toledo Road for a shooting report.

The caller said that at 6:12 a.m., he was driving east on Toledo Road, passing the 2100 block, when he saw two men standing on the side of the road.

While driving past the men, one of them allegedly pulled down his pants and exposed himself to the driver.

The other man allegedly held his hand out and fired some type of gun at the driver’s vehicle, shattering his rear passenger-side window.

The driver said he didn’t get a good look at the gun but it could’ve been a BB-style gun.

The men weren’t located in the area when officers were investigating.

The incident is still under investigation.
