ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Dr. Elizabeth Bennion, political science professor at Indiana University South Bend, spoke to ABC57’s Brian Conybeare about the protests at the Capitol building.
“This is something that we see in other nations, but really have not come to expect in the U.S., where the peaceful transition of power is our tradition and very much at the center of our democracy,” Bennion said.
Bennion says the United States is on International Crisis Watch’s list for possible violence over the political climate in the weeks to come.
