SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- The 8th annual Holiday Light Parade, presented by Ruoff Mortgage, will be hosted by Downtown South Bend Friday, Dec. 12.

The parade will begin at 7 p.m. and will last approximately half an hour with over 30 lighted floats, vehicles, and walking units traveling west down East Jefferson Boulevard from Notre Dame Avenue to Niles Avenue, and then north from Niles Avenue to Washington Street.

Downtown South Bend will have a tent at the southwest corner of St. Louis and Jefferson where they will have light-up merchandise for sale as elves from the South Bend Civic Theatre pass out holiday goodies.

No parking will be permitted along the parade route or staging areas from 4 to 8 p.m., and those areas will be closed to traffic beginning at 6:30 p.m. A map of the parade route and several free parking options can be found using this map:
