DOWAGIAC, Mich. -- The city of Dowagiac is celebrating a new addition to the landscape, as they officially open the doors to their new fire department. To celebrate the new department, they held an open house allowing anyone to look at the new facility that took 14 months to complete.
This new facility improves upon many amenities that our firefighters need to keep the community safe. A new improvement was added within the new building is a designated decontamination area, providing a clean space to reduce cancer risks from contaminated gear.
