Deputies searching for crash suspect that fled the scene

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a traffic crash just after 11 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of M 62 Highway and Dutch Settlement St. According to officials, Penny Michkiewicz, 74, was rear-ended while waiting to turn left.
Michkiewicz was injured in the crash and sent to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital.
According to officials, the other driver fled the scene on foot and has not been located.
The crash remains under investigation until the other driver can be found.
