Deputies locate and arrest non-compliant sex offenders

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- As part of a compliance check of those on the sex offender registry, two who failed to update their information were located and arrested, according to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and other agencies conducted a compliance check of sexually violent predators and offenders against children in La Porte County in preparation for Halloween trick or treating.

Two offenders were found non-compliant.

Ladonna Lowhorn, 39, was located and arrested by authorities in Henry County, Indiana on October 24. She was transported to the La Porte County Jail on a preliminary charge of failure to register.

Jose Thomas, 47, was located and arrested in Michigan City. He was taken to the La Porte County Jail and is being held on a preliminary charge of failure to register.

Each are being held on $15,005 bonds.
