Deputies investigating early morning armed robbery in Lockport Township

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Mich.—Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Lockport Township early Friday morning, according to the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.

On October 9, around 2:19 a.m., deputies with the sheriff's office and officers with the Three Rivers Police Department were sent to N. Main Street in Lockport Township for a report of an armed robbery.

The victim reported that he was approached in his vehicle by a male in his 30s with scraggly facial hair, police said.

The suspect showed a pistol and demanded the victim’s wallet, according to police.

Police said the suspect then left the scene southbound in an early 2000s dark-colored four-door sedan and was last seen on Main Street near 4th Street.
