Deputies identify motorcyclist killed in crash on SR 15

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A man was killed Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of his motorcycle and drove off the side of the road on SR 15, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened around 12:45 p.m. in the northbound lanes of SR 15 just south of US 20.
Deputies say 64-year-old Barry Chitwood was traveling northbound on SR 15 when he lost control of the motorcycle and drove off the road.
Chitwood was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
