According to Indiana Department of Transportation's communication director, Matt Deitchley, travel isn't impossible but it is not well-advised. He said drivers should give themselves plenty of extra time, at least 15 to 20 minutes, on the roads.
We've had 170+ #YellowTrucks plowing & de-icing on the roads since before this storm began, plus additional resources called in from the south. But you must expect difficult travelling conditions out there. We're keeping at it, but things will get worse as the day goes on.
