Crews Searching for Missing Person in Cedar Lake

CEDAR LAKE, Ind. – Officers from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources are searching for a man who went missing in Cedar Lake on Friday and did not resurface, according to a report.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at around 4:00 p.m. after a 39-year-old male reportedly jumped into the water from a boat and did not resurface.

Multiple agencies are involved in the search.

The public is asked to avoid the area.

Officials have yet to release any other information on the missing individual.
