Crash in Bremen sends one person to a hospital

BREMEN, Ind. -- Marshall County Police arrived to a crash at approximately 10 a.m. Friday involving two vehicles that sent one person to a hospital.

The crash was in the west bound lane of US 6 east of Bittersweet Drive, police say.

TCS flagmen were directing traffic around a 1000 foot stretch of road where the US 6 west bound lane was closed.

The flagmen were able to stop a semi-truck and trailer that was approaching at a high rate of speed, police say.

However, the following car could not slow down in time and crashed into the rear end of the semi, police reported.

The driver of the second vehicle was transported to the emergency room of a nearby hospital.
