One sent to hospital following three-vehicle crash Thursday morning
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports the Marshall County Detective Bureau obtained information on Aug. 22 from the Indiana Department of Child Services of a 3-year-old child testing positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
The report states the children within the home were removed and put into an alternative care home.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Detective Bureau then began a criminal investigation into the situation.
Authorities say a search warrant was executed for the residence of Sarah Tibbs in the 4000 block of Olive Road on Tuesday.
The report states a substance believed to be methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, was recovered.
31-year-old Sarah Tibbs and 55-year-old Timothy J. Barnette were arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
Barnette is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor, and Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor.
Tibbs is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class C Misdemeanor, and Child Neglect, a Level 6 Felony.
Bond was set at $3,000 each.
