Cooper Bridge reopens in South Bend after serious crash

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police have reopened the Cooper Bridge following a serious crash in front of Jefferson Intermediate School.

Police say the crash involved three vehicles. Three ambulances were sent to the scene around 8:35 a.m.

Another crash was being investigated at the intersection of Prairie Ave and Gertrude Street around the same time. This crash involved a dump truck and a Chevy pickup truck.

One person was taken to the hospital.

The causes of the crashes have not been released.
