
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A man convicted on charges of Child Solicitation, Possession of Child Pornography, and Bestiality was arrested at the Economy Inn in Plymouth Friday morning after failing to register as a sex offender, among other things.
The Marshall County Police say Denny Jesus Perez-Cardenas is classified as an Offender against Children with a Lifetime requirement to register in person as a sex offender annually as well as within 72 hours of any change of information including to residence, employment, and phone numbers.
When MCP visited Cardenas' room on March 20, they found that he was non-compliant with the sex offender registry having failed to register changing rooms at the Economy Inn, was in possession of an unregister cellular phone, and failed to register a change in his employment.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on charges of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender as a Level 6 Felony with a $1500 cash bond.
In a case that was closed in 2018, Cardenas was convicted of Level 5 Felony Child Solicitation by someone18 or older who knowingly solicits a child under 14 for sexual intercourse, Possession of Child Pornography, and Level 6 Felony Bestiality.
