ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Some residents in St. Joseph County are pushing for a moratorium on industrial solar power installations.
There are concerns about the environmental impact of huge solar panel arrays, as well as the loss of farmland, and what happens when the solar farms shut down.
But there is also debate over having more clean energy to power homes, businesses and the high-tech data centers coming to Michiana.
Today ABC57 News asked Republican Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-2) for his take on the local debate over solar power.
