SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Community residents came out to the ALoft Hotels in downtown South Bend on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the South Bend Cubs hiring fair.
The fair is the second of the season for the South Bend Cubs organization, which is set to throw out the first pitch on April 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Quad Cities.
Event organizers said that 50-75 people attended the hiring fair, a number which met expectations.
“We offer a very fun environment. We sell fun for our families, and we have a fun atmosphere. We have competitive wages, and we just want people who are willing to share their personalities and invite everyone in the community.” said Peter Arguetea, the Assistant General Manager of Operations for the South Bend Cubs.
Those who attended could apply for positions in bartending, cashier positions, the “fun zone”, cooking, catering, warehouse attendant positions, mascots and more.
Two more in-person job fairs are expected to happen over the next two months before the first game, although the dates and times have not been released.
Anyone looking to apply who missed the event can apply online here.
