Heavy lake effect snow develops on Monday
ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast
Sunday, October 13, 2024
A cold front comes through this evening which will bring breezy conditions and a few showers around 5-6pm. Winds switch to the north overnight which will cause lake effect showers to begin tonight before they move toward Valpo by daybreak. Most of Monday looks dry but cloudy and cool for South Bend until the lake effect showers pivot east later in the day. Lake effect rain showers continue on and off until Tuesday night, with LaPorte to Pulaski counties seeing the most rainfall. Colder temperatures also make a return with lows tonight in the mid 40s, but highs will only be in the low to mid 50s through Wednesday. As skies begin to clear, Thursday morning could have a freeze as lows inch close to 32 degrees. A warming trend exists later this week with lots of sunshine as well.
Tonight: Rain showers. Low 44.
Monday: Cloudy with PM showers. High 54.
Tuesday: Rain showers. High 52.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy. High 53.
