Clay High School placed on lockdown while police searched for possible gun

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Clay High School was put on lockdown Monday morning after administration received information about a student possibly bringing a gun to school, the South Bend Community School Corporation reported.

The school was placed on lockdown at 11:30 a.m. after administration received credible information about the incident.

Police searched the school but no gun was found.

No arrests were made.

The lockdown was lifted at 12:40 p.m. and all students in the building were safe.
