GRANGER, Ind. -- Some area kids found out what it takes to become a firefighter.
The Clay Township Fire Department kicked off its 8th annual summer camp in Granger.
Twenty-eight students ages 10 to 13 signed up for the hands on camp.
They get to perform fire and rescue drills and learn about the ladder truck.
"This is a five day summer camp where the kids get an opportunity to come into our station and see what a firefighter and an EMT does," said Battalion Chief Justin Stopckynski.
The fire summer camp runs all week long.
