South Haven City Council SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. -- Development grant gets approved by South Haven to build a new park.
The South Haven City Council voted unanimously to approve an application for a USDA Rural Business Development Grant.
The plan is to use the funding to design and engineer a new park.
The cost of this phase of the project will be around $900,000, with the city's contribution being $9,965.88.
Council members were double guessing the decision after not being able to find funding for the Elkenburg Park Summer Recreation Program but are moving forward with spending money on this project.
