Quiet for now, Storms later tonight
BENTON HARBOR, Mich.- A man was brought to a hospital after a shooting in Benton Harbor on Christmas night.
Shortly after 7 p.m. on Wednesday night, a man was allegedly shot on the 1000 block of Pearl Street.
The victim’s father confirmed that the man was shot in the hip.
He was then transported to a Kalamazoo hospital for surgery.
Neighbors say they were not surprised by the violence on their street, but they are disappointed it happened on Christmas.
Berta Dillon, who lives on Pearl Street said, “I thought, well, it was just going to be another tragedy. I was hoping it wasn’t, but I live in this neighborhood, been here for forty-some years, and I’ve seen a lot of stuff.”
They are tired of the violence and hoping for some changes soon.
