UPDATE: According to the Berrien County Prosecutor's Office, Michael Brewer has been sentenced to 50-90 years in prison for the murder of Joseph Griffith at Ray's Motel in April.
ORIGINAL STORY: BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- An arrest was made in the brutal murder of a disabled man in a wheelchair in Berrien County.
The prosecutor confirms Joseph Griffith; a once homeless double amputee was beaten to death at Ray's Motel back in April.
Michael Brewer
Suspect, 34-year-old Michael Brewer, was arrested on May 9 after a standoff in Coloma, and is now charged with homicide.
The Berrien County Prosecutor says Brewer was arraigned in court, with a bond set at one million dollars.
Brewer is due back in court on May 21.
