Cass County Sheriff investigating fatal injury

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating an incident that happened Friday where a man died after he was pinned to the ground by a vehicle while he was working on it.

Officials say that 45-year-old Kenneth Horner Jr. of Niles was working on a vehicle when the supporting apparatus failed and pinned him down underneath.

People at the scene told police that when they found Horner they lifted the vehicle and got him out from underneath it. They then administered CPR until emergency personnel arrived.

Horner was transported to the hospital where he later passed away due to his injuries.
