CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- At approximately 8:09 p.m. Sunday evening, Sheriff Clint Roach's deputies responded to a car versus pedestrian on Huntly Road near Reese Drive in Howard Township.   

A vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old female, was traveling south on Huntly Road when she struck a 21-year-old male wearing all dark clothing walking southbound in the lane of travel. 

The 21-year-old was transported to South Bend Memorial hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. 

SMCAS, Howard Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police assisted at the scene.
