Another round of lake effect snow for portions of Michiana today, though most of the area is going to be seeing gusty conditions through the next two days. A clipper system is headed our way, bringing a line of precipitation through the afternoon, this line likely lake enhanced to start, switching to just lake effect through the evening. Wind direction expected to shift from the southwest in the morning, to west in the afternoon, and northwest in the evening hours, with the areas impacted by lake effect expected to change with the wind. Northwesterly wind continues into the day on Thursday, snow blowing into central Michiana. Highest snowfall totals are expected to be above 4 inches, with this system likely bringing snow to areas that only saw a dusting with the last round. Winter Storm Warnings for Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, MI, St. Joseph, IN, Elkhart, and Lagrange Counties go into effect at 5pm tonight and end at 1am Friday morning. Skies clear and temperatures rise going through the weekend, a bout of rain expected Sunday going into Monday.
