UPDATE: Blue Alert for 33-year-old man cancelled

UPDATE: As of 9:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4 the Blue Alert for Austin Schepers is cancelled.  A two-day manhunt of the shooter of an Orange County Sheriff came to a close in Louisville, Kentucky.

In collaboration with the Louisville Metro Police, an investigation ensued in the 3700 block of Wheeler Avenue in Louisville Kentucky, where police located Schepers.

A confrontation with police resulted in Schepers being shot and killed at the scene by law enforcement.

Details regarding the confrontation remain under investigation at this time. 

ORIGINAL: INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police issued a Blue Alert for Austin Schepers wanted for involvement of injury to a law enforcement officer on Jan. 3.

Schepers is 33 years old white male 5’7 150 pounds, brown hair with hazel eyes, with a tattoo of a cross under his left eye along with multiple tattoos around his neck. At the time of incident, the suspect's vehicle was also occupied by an unidentified individual.

In the evening on Friday, Austin Schepers was reported to have been in the New Albany/Floyd County area.

At this time his current location and mode of transportation is unknown.

The suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous.
