Blood drives to be hosted in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Ind. -- The South Bend Medical Foundation is teaming up with the Plymouth Mayor's Office in order to host blood drives this year.

They teamed up last year for six blood drives hosted in Plymouth.

“The partnership we have had with the Mayor’s Office in Plymouth has been a great one. They consistently host blood drives when donors are eligible, which is every 56 days. This year, we collected 156 units which saves the lives of up to 312 people,” said Colleen Hahn, Manager of Blood Donor Recruitment for South Bend Medical Foundation.

There is a blood drive in Plymouth at the Marshall County Building on Feb. 9th at 112 West Jefferson St. from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

South Bend Medical Foundation provides blood to the local hospitals including Beacon Health Systems, Saint Joseph Health Systems, and Elkhart General Hospital.

Blood drives will occur in 2024 on Feb. 24, April 20, June 22, Aug. 17, Oct. 12, and Dec. 17 at the bloodmobile at the Plymouth Fire Station or at River Park Square during Farmer’s Market season from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

To make an appointment visit www.GiveBloodNow.com or call (574) 234-1157.
