Private group confronts man in Marshall County, man arrested on child solicitation charge

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. - A man was arrested by Marshall County deputies after being confronted by a private group about his inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old, according to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office.

On Thursday, deputies were informed that a representative with an online group was in the Culver area confronting a man identified as Kelly Peterson.

Deputies obtained messages from a conversation in which Peterson admitted that he was inappropriately communicating with a 13-year-old girl, according to reports.

Peterson was interviewed at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and eventually taken into custody on a charge of child solicitation.

He is being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
