ELKHART, Ind. – Beacon Health Group discharged their 1,000 COVID-19 patient at the end of September.
74-year-old, Bennie Payton, a retired Elkhart Elementary School teacher spent nearly two weeks in the COVID unit at Elkhart General Hospital.
Despite all of the people testing positive for the Coronavirus, many patients are recovering from the virus.
Payton says she is “truly blessed” and “happy to be heading home.”
