Baugo Community schools closed Monday due to threat, police investigating
BAUGO TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- Baugo Community Schools shut down classes on Nov. 11 to investigate a threat, the school announced Monday morning.
Little information is known about the threat itself, but Superintendent Byron Sanders confirmed that it was sent to officials and staff overnight via email.
The school was initially placed on a two-hour delay to resolve the threat before school started but ultimately decided to cancel classes for all Baugo schools.
Lynn Zissler, a parent of a Baugo student, shared that while she was happy the schools closed out of an abundance of caution, she was frustrated by a lack of communication about the details of the threat with parents.
The full statement from Baugo Community Schools regarding the threat can be found here.
