Lake Township Fire and Rescue BRIDGMAN, Mich. -- According to Lake Township Fire and Rescue, at approximately 10:01 p.m. on March 10, officials were dispatched for a barn fire.
Updated information indicated the barn was fully engulfed in flames, while units were en route to the scene.
Chief 701 arrived first and due to the extent of fire and structural collapse, defensive operations were established.
Chief 1101 arrived shortly after and assisted with command operations.
Crews worked quickly to establish a water supply and deploy multiple hose lines. Firefighters focused efforts on containing the fire and protecting nearby exposures, including a second barn and two motor homes.
Lake Township Fire was assisted by Chikaming Township Fire, Lincoln Township Fire and Baroda-Lake Police.
The barn is considered a total loss, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
