SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Ball State Associate Professor of Political Science Chad Kinsella joined ABC57's Brian Conybeare and Jennifer Copeland in the studio to discuss the recent Chaos on Capitol Hill-- the vote to remove former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
Kinsella discussed the "shocking" decision to remove McCarthy from his role, saying it's something that's never happened before.
He also discussed the potential halt to the work on Capitol Hill and how that impacts the looming November 17 government shutdown date.
"It's absolutely essential to have a speaker, in terms of leadership, and that needs to be done before anything else can happen," said Kinsella.
