ELKHART, Ind. -- Authorities are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 33-year-old in Elkhart Saturday morning.
According to a press release, on July 27 around 5:27 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of W. Jefferson Street on reports of a stabbing.
Jimmie Gillam, 33, of Elkhart, Indiana was located at the scene in critical condition and transported to Elkhart General Hospital.
Gillam was later pronounced deceased.
Officers have secured the scene.
The Elkhart County Homicide Unit has been contacted.
So far no arrests have been made.
The Elkhart County Prosecutors Office will provide further updates.
