Astronaut attends high school reunion from space

HENNING, Minn. -- A Minnesota high school reunion turned into an out-of-this-world experience when one classmate attended the reunion from space.

Karen Nyberg is on the international space station but was still able to attend her 25th reunion by video chat.

She got a chance to show her friends and their families around her current home and answered questions about life 220 miles above Earth making for a very unique experience.

"They kind of become your extended brothers and sisters, and in that respect Karen is like our family," said classmate Andrea Rogers.

Nyberg just got to the ISS in late May.

The flight engineer is scheduled to return later this year.
